Founded in December 2013 by James Spring, Fred Films produces quality commercial feature films for a worldwide audience. Fred Films regularly collaborates with a broad range of production, finance and distribution partners.

Flying Fish, a joint venture between Fred Films and filmmakers Nick Moorcroft and Meg Leonard was announced in March 2021. The independent entertainment production company was launched with the signing of a three year multi-picture distribution deal with leading UK theatrical distribution company Entertainment Film Distributors (EFD).
